I write essays and stories. Some of them appear in Gulf Coast, Guernica, Southern Review, The Baffler, Electric Lit, The New Republic, and The New York Times.
WVU Press published my debut novel Slime Line in June 2024. It's about commercial fish processing plants. Lee Durkee called it "a cult classic," and Steve Almond called it "tender, musical, sad, funny as hell."
Right now I'm working on two books but I don't wanna jinx it.
I'm from rural Pennsylvania but I live in Pittsburgh now. In Pittsburgh I work in a plant nursery, where I nurse the plants.
